As the world fights COVID-19, the economy and the business sector have been hit hard. Our lives have truly been shaken. None of us could have predicted how this pandemic would be so far-reaching and have such an impact on the local and global economies. Look no further than the empty store shelves, where high-demand items quickly sell out, and non-essential items are often not being replenished.
Despite the challenges, freight still has to move, and consumers still require groceries, medical supplies, sanitary goods, and other provisions that are necessary for a functioning society.
Rice Bros. Freight Division has been doing our part to keep supply chains maintained while ensuring the safety of our drivers and customers. It has kept us very busy. All of our units have been traveling throughout North America, hauling Canadian meat and produce south of the border, and bringing Mexican and American goods back. While the bulk of these shipments have involved transporting groceries for consumers, we have also had some unique and interesting loads.
We continue to grow.
We’re pleased to announce that Rice Bros. has purchased another unit that will be added to our growing fleet.
As well, we have expanded our Freight Division to provide additional Dispatch and Administrative support. This will allow us to maintain the highest level of customer service and operational efficiency.
