Rice Bros. Trucking Ltd. celebrates their 15th year of operations! January 2021 marks the fifteenth year that Rice Bros. Trucking Ltd. has been in business. What started as a two-truck operation, has grown into a company with two divisions; the Oilfield Side, which handles Rig Moving from start to finish, oilfield service work, oilfield construction and picker lifts, heavy hauls and over-dimensional loads and other oil and gas-related jobs, and also the Freight Side, which hauls reefers and refrigerated goods, as well as other cargo, across North America. We are extremely proud of this evolution!
Although 2020 was a difficult year, we did see some growth for our company. Our Freight Division expanded to meet growing demand and saw increased refrigerated loads from Central Alberta to the Western and Central States, as well as to many Eastern States. Our corridor route from Calgary to Chicago with returns from Detroit to Calgary, has been steadily increasing. During this year, we purchased multiple brand-new Reefer Trailers. Two of our Owner/Operators purchased brand new trucks for the fleet, a 2021 Peterbilt and a 2022 Kenworth. These really add to the look of our fleet! In addition, some of our other drivers have outfitted their units with custom chrome, ensuring that their trucks shine and look amazing wherever they happen to be.
The Oilfield Division is what started Rice Bros. Trucking Ltd. Owners Stacey and Jason each drove a winch truck, mainly hauling 400 barrel tanks, P-tanks, and mud tanks around Southern Alberta. Now, with complete Rig Moving equipment, we are your go-to call! With Big-Beds, Tri-Drives, Winch Trucks, Wheelers, Tandems, multiple trailer configurations, pilot trucks, and experienced hands, we have the equipment and experience to organize, set up, move and haul your rigs, rig components, oilfield equipment, over-dimensional loads, 750 tanks, and other loads as needed.

Rice Bros. Trucking Ltd. believes that safety is an integral part of business operations, and utilizes multiple reporting methods including KeepTruckin, ISNetworld, Complyworks, and various internal tracking for accurate data compilation and analyzation. Safety training is on-going, current, and encompasses up-to-date topics relatable to drivers, personnel and the industry.
